RUSSELL—At Lime Springs, Iowa, June 14th, 1897, -Mr. Thomas Russell, aged 73 years, 4months and 22 days.
Deceased was born in Macoupin county. Ills.; moved to Fayette county, Iowa, in 1849, and to Winnesheik county, Iowa, in 1854. He lived on a farm about four miles north of Decorah, until 1886, at which time he removed to Howard county. He was brought to Decorah, and the funeral took place in the school house, near his old home, and his body buried in cemetery on his old farm. He was married to Elizabeth Hensley at Lima, Iowa, Feb. 12th, 1857, who with two sons and a daughter, now Mrs. Painter, of Decorah, survive him. A large company of people attended the funeral.
