—Mrs. Fred Pike living near Meltonville, Mitchell County, took her life on the 2d inst. by hanging. She was in a state of dementia which took form in the idea that she was not good enough for her husband, and unfit to bring up her three children. Though kept under watch no such fatality was anticipated She was only 26 years old, and except for her mental hallucination her home life was very happy.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mary who was born Feb. 6, 1873. She is buried in St. Ansgar Cemetery.
