A SUDDEN DEATH.
David Peter Aye—better known as “Dick” Aye—eldest son of Mrs. Margaret Aye, died at the family home on Grove street last Thursday evening at about 8:30 o’clock, from typhoid pneumonia. He was ailing for some days previous to being confined to the house, but it was not thought a serious matter. Saturday, the 4th, he was compelled to stay in his room, and from that time his decline was rapid in spite of medical attendance and good nursing
Deceased was twenty-eight years old. At the time of his death his mother was in Winona visiting her daughter. The news of his death as telegraphed her was a great shock as he was in usual health when she departed. She at once returned and his brothers John, of Rochester, and Henry, of Anoka, came also. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon, at Unity church, Rev. Dr. Willett officiating. A large number of friends and acquaintances attested by their presence their sympathy with the relatives of the deceased.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1871 and is buried in Phelps Cemetery.
