Mrs. Edw. Crane Dead.
Edw. Crane, of Bluffton township, died Monday from spinal meningitis. For more than a week she had been ill but medical skill and good nursing availed nothing. Dr. Barfoot, who attended her, informs us that the disease seemed to result from a defective ear, and was not of the same character as caused several deaths here and in other parts of the county last spring. The funeral was held yesterday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Hannah who was born Jan. 30, 1845 and died Oct. 9, 1899. She is buried in Phelps Cemetery. She was the wife of Edwin Crane.
