—Michael McCarthy, the aged father of Mrs. Maurice Holleran, of this city, died at his home in Monroe, Wis., last week Tuesday, in his eighty-fifth year. He was a native of Ireland and came to America in an early day, locating at Buffalo, N. Y. In 1853 he came west to Janesville, Wis., and for thirty-five years past has been a native of Greene county, Wis. He leaves a widow and seven children. The funeral was held last Friday at Monroe. He is spoken of by the local paper as an honorable citizen who had many friends.
