THE SILENT REAPER.
Charles K. Coleman died Sunday night at nine o’clock after a brief illness from heart disease. On his return from Algona a few weeks ago he opened a shoe shop in the Citizens bank block. At the time it was seen that he was not well, and was soon after taken seriously ill. For two weeks he has been unable to work much; and from the first the doctors held out little hope. Mr. Coleman was an eastern man and came west a few years ago, locating at Ridgeway. When Smith & Dixson opened their shoe store he joined them in their repair department and soon demonstrated that he was an expert workman. He remained with Mr. Chinnock when he purchased the business, but last spring went to Algona, where he remained until the death of his child about a month ago. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. M. Willett officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Phelps Cemetery and was born in 1864.
