Last Sunday at her home in Spillville Mrs. John Chizak passed away, after a lingering illness of many weeks, of cancer, during which she suffered great pain. She was 61 years old. Her husband preceded her in death some years ago. Mrs. Chizek leaves three daughters and two sons to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the St. Wenceslaus Catholic church.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone photo in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery shows this was Marie Cizek who was born in 1839 and died April 8, 1900.
