Died:—At her home two miles west of Spillville, Mrs. Bernard Herold, aged 77 years. She suffered a stroke of paralysis on Saturday, March 17th, from which she never recovered. Her husband, seven sons and three daughters were left to mourn her death. All but three of the children attended the funeral. They have the sympathy of the whole community.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show this was Maria Anna and that she is buried in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery and was born March 8, 1823 and died March 22, 1900.
