MRS. GERTRUDE JOHNSON.
Mrs. Gertrude Johnson, widow of Gilbert Johnson, many years ago a resident of Decorah, and mother of Mrs. Geo, E. Smith, Mrs. N. N. Norgaard, of Indianapolis, and Julius Johnson, of Ireton, Iowa, died at the home of her daughter in Indianapolis last Sunday, from Bright’s disease; Mrs. Johnson was about 62 years of age and had been in failing health for some time. The remains were brought to Decorah to-day and the funeral service and interment will take place at Highlandville, where Mr. Johnson’s remains are buried.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows she was born May 22, 1837 and is buried in Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery.
