Donna Faye (Campbell) Berg, age 68, of Decorah, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse, WI.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held after social distancing restrictions have been lifted. Cards may be sent to Jim at 701 E. Water Str. Decorah, IA 52101.

Donna was born on May 27, 1951, daughter of Archie Jr. & Ramona (Waller) Campbell in Perry, Georgia. She grew up in Warner Robins, Georgia and was a graduate of Northside High School, class of 1969. After high school she attended Crandall Business College. In 1971, Donna married Tom Gronna and to this union her sons Patrick & Ryan were born.

Donna moved to Waterville, Iowa in 1972 and later made her life in Decorah. On December 31, 1988 she married Jim Berg. Through the years she held a variety of jobs and was able to be an involved “Nana” which was nearest and dearest to her heart. She loved kids, especially her grandchildren and there was hardly a conversation that didn’t involve them and their academic achievements or most recent activities. Donna loved to talk, smile and laugh. She found beauty in life, nature, animals, crafting, reading and most of all spending her days being with and playing with her grandchildren. The love and joy her grandchildren brought her was immeasurable.

Donna was a member of Stone Ridge Community Church and had a deep-rooted faith in God.

She is grieved by her husband Jim and dogs Max & Sophie of Decorah. Sons: Patrick & Amy Gronna and their children Sedona & Canyon of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ryan & Laura Gronna and their children Maya & Hadley of Decorah. Sister: Julie & Terry Jones. Brother: Dan Lifsey of The Rock, Georgia. Brothers and sisters in-law: Roger & Marlene Berg, Duane & Jean Berg and Gail & Bill Keefe of Decorah. She also leaves behind uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents: Archie Jr. & Jewel Campbell and Ramona & Jack Fulfod. Sister: Sharon Grubb. Maternal grandparents: Ruby Mae Shepard & Clem Hudson Waller. Paternal grandparents: Archie Sr. & Trellie Campbell. Father and Mother-in law: Joseph & Janette Berg.
