Mrs. W. B. Perry returned Tuesday afternoon from Minneapolis, where she had been called by the illness and death of her sister’s husband, Frank Peacock, who died Monday evening. Mr. Peacock was a former resident of Burr Oak, and upon the arrival of his son from Seattle, Washington, the body will be brought from Minneapolis to Decorah, the interment being at his old home at Burr Oak.

Died in Minneapolis.

Word came from Minneapolis Tuesday morning of the death of Frank Peacock on the evening previous shortly before seven o’clock. Mr. Peacock has not been in good health for a number of years, and recently sustained a stroke of paralysis, which proved fatal. The remains were brought to Burr Oak, where funeral services will be held to-day at the M. E. church at 2:30 o’clock and interment will be made in the Burr Oak cemetery.

Mr. Peacock was born at Hemmingford, Canada East, and was in his sixty-first year at the time of his death. In 1854 the family moved to Iowa, arriving at Burr Oak on June 8th. Here Mr. Peacock grew to manhood and resided up to about twenty-five years ago, when he moved to Decorah and made his home until four years ago when he moved to Minneapolis. He was janitor of the high school building during fourteen years of his residence here. Upwards of thirty years ago Mr. Peacock was married to Lily Little, who, with their children, Mrs. J. K. Shaw of Minneapolis and Glenn Peacock, residing near Seattle, survive him. He is also survived by four sisters—Mrs. Sarah Kimball of Decorah, Mrs. Jane Odell of Omaha, Mrs. Emma Kimball of Canton and Mrs. Susie Sharp of Parker, S. D. Deceased had a wide acquaintance and many friends throughout the northern part of the county who join in extending condolence to his family and sisters.
