Again we are compelled to chronicle the death of one of our old pioneers. Henry F. Dean died at his home Monday morning at 7 o’clock. Mr. Dean has been in failing health for some time past. He and his wife were among the early settlers in this township and are widely known. When in his prime Mr. Dean was known far and near as one who ministered to the sick and afflicted. This commendable trait he retained until compelled to desist on account of ill health and old age. He was a good neighbor, a kind husband, and a large concourse of neighbors and friends will follow him to his last resting place this (Wednesday) afternoon. The funeral will occur at the Universalist church west of town, the Rev. Ross officiating. Thus another one of the pioneer settlers has passed to the great beyond and their ranks are yearly being thinned. We are not furnished an obituary but he had passed the three score and ten limit.
