Mrs. Martha Sandager, one of the pioneer mothers of this vicinity, died at the home of her son Sever O. Sandager, in Springfield township, a mile east of here, on the 4th inst. Mrs. Sandager was ninety years of age and had been confined to her bed several years.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Marthe who is buried in Calmar Lutheran Cemetery and was born January 26, 1816 which does not agree with her above-listed age. Also her son is shown as Syver O.
