OLSON.
Erick M. Olson, who resided on Oak street, died last Friday morning after a two weeks’ illness from pneumonia, leaving a family of eleven children to mourn his loss. Mr. Olson was born in Sigdahl, Norway, in 1841. At what time he came to America we are not informed, but he was married in this country in 1867 and has lived in Decorah since 1870. His wife died some six or seven years ago. His oldest son, Olaus, is the only one of the family not residing in Decorah, and all were present at the funeral, which was hold Sunday from the residence.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos shows Erik M. Olson buried in Lutheran Decorah Cemetery and that he died in 1900; however, Find a Grave shows he died April 19, 1901 and was born Sept. 20, 1841 which agrees with the above.
