THE SILENT REAPER.
DAVIDSON.
The death of Miss Stella Davidson last Sunday afternoon caused a feeling of sorrow throughout the city for the members of her family who have been watching at her bedside for the last two weeks. Soon after being taken down with fever her condition became so serious that the worst was feared. On Friday evening an apparent change for the better occurred and Sunday morning she seemed to be considerably stronger. It must have been in appearance only, for a sinking spell in the afternoon was followed by death. Miss Davidson was the youngest daughter of Gudmund Davidson and was born in Lodi, Wis., Sept. 20, 1873. She came to Decorah with her family in 1877 and has since resided here. She was a young lady of excellent Christian character and, while quiet and retiring in her manner, had many friends both among young and old. The funeral was held at the First Norwegian Lutheran church yesterday afternoon and was largely attended.Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Lutheran Decorah Cemetery shows her name as Emma S.
