R. B. TUTTLE.
The news of the death of R. B. Tuttle at eleven o'clock last night came as a surprise this morning. While it was recognized that his health was such that he might pass away suddenly, when the end came it was as always in such cases—unexpected. He had been feeling much better than usual yesterday, and was engaged in conversation and doing some writing when be was stricken with paralysis. This was between seven and eight o’clock. His wife and son came to him at once, and assisted him to a chair. As they did so he remarked he would be all right in a little while, and those were the last words he uttered. Life lingered about three hours.
We are not possessed of the full data of Mr. Tuttle's life, but he was born in Yates Co., N. Y., March 23d, 1822, was twice married and is survived by his wife and four children—Mrs. E R. Webster, of Ossian, Mrs. M. T. Engle, Benjamin and Robert Tuttle.
