The subject of this sketch was born in the county of Waterford, Ireland in March 1858 and died in this city last Friday at the age of thirty-nine years, of quick consumption. He came to America with his parents in 1868, and located in Decorah, where he lived until 1878, when he moved to Waukon, and came back to Decorah last October. The funeral was held yesterday morning at nine o’clock from the Catholic church, Rev. Fr. Hawe officiating, and the remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery. A very large number of friends were present at the funeral, and 75 teams followed the remains to the grave, 35 of the teams being from Waukon.

MURRAY.
A second death from consumption occurred on Saturday last, William Murray passing away that morning. For some months past he had been confined at the home of his mother in this city. Recognizing that recovery was impossible, his relatives did all that was possible to make his last days as comfortable as possible. The funeral was held at the Catholic church, Monday evening, at 8 o’clock, Rev. Father Hawe, officiating.
