OBITUARY.
OLSON.
Mandius Olson, youngest son of Absalon and Christine Olson, was born in Skudesnes, Norway, March 30, 1871. His parents died when he was quite young, and his early life was spent with relatives, till coming to Cresco in 1887, where he was employed at different places.
On April 9, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Bertine Hanson. To this union three children were born, Elmer, Henry and Myrtle, who, with the sorrowing wife, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. He also leaves to mourn his loss one sister, one brother, besides nieces and nephews and cousins.
On July 15, 1912, he suffered a stroke of paralysis. After about three weeks of intense suffering he departed this life, Saturday morning, August 3, 1912.
The funeral service conducted by Rev. L. Larson was held August 6, 1912, in the Orleans Lutheran church of which faith he has been a devoted member since childhood.
The large attendance and the many beautiful flowers testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held.
