Killed In His Mill.
Ole Grinager Ness, a well known resident of Hesper township for some time past, came to an untimely end on Friday, while engaged in working in the McMillen mill about a mile west of the village of Hesper.
He was down in the basement of the mill, working about the machinery, and started to place a belt upon a pulley while in motion, having started up the engine. It is not known just how he missed it, but in some manner the belt wrapped about him and he was caught and thrown about in a terrific manner. He called to the boy upstairs, who shut off the engine as soon as he could, but not before Ole had been fatally injured. He lived only four hours after the accident.
Mr. Grinager, was a single man, 37 years of age, and was well known about the northeast part of the county as an industrious, honest man, who was generally popular.—Public Opinion.

Transcriber’s Note: One place it shows his name as Ole Grinager Ness and another as Mr. Grinager.
