—Clayton Reed of Burr Oak was in town last Friday night on his way to Monticello, Minn., to attend the funeral of the youngest son of Elder Ridley who recently moved from Burr Oak to Monticello.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Monticello, MN. He was born in June, 1891 and died July 3, 1902

A telegram on the 4th, from Monticello, Minn., to C. A. Reed, brought the sad news of the death of John, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ridley. Mr. Reed and Glenn Ridley look the evening train from Decorah for the Ridley home. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Ridley in their affliction. Johnnie’s death was caused by typhoid fever. Mr. Reed returned to-night but Glenn stayed with the grief-stricken parents.
