ROBERT HEGG
Robert Hegg, only son of Mrs. H. A. Hegg, died at noon Sunday last after an illness of two years from consumption. At the time of his death he was in his 26th year, the date of his birth being Oct. 27, 1876. As a boy he was studious and when he reached young manhood this trait was still further developed. After graduating from the Decorah high school he entered Luther College, graduating in 1898. The following year he filled the position of professor in the Lutheran college at Cliffton, Texas. During his illness everything possible for his relief was done, and last fall he went south, spending the winter in New Mexico and Arizona in hope that the milder climate might prove beneficial, but without avail. He returned home about two months ago and has patiently awaited the summons of the silent messenger. Funeral services were held at the house at 1:30 o’clock and at the United Lutheran church at 2 o’clock, yesterday afternoon, Rev. I. B. Torrison officiating, and burial took place at the Lutheran cemetery
