THIRTY YEARS AGO,
A Glance at The Decorah Republican of May 10th and 17th, 1872,
Thos. J. Filbert died on the 4th inst. of paralysis, aged 38 years. He was one of the earliest business men of Decorah, and member of the firm of Weiser & Filbert, one of the two banking concerns that weathered the hard times of 1856-7.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Phelps Cemetery and was born in 1834.
