A Glance at The Decorah Republican of May 10th and 17th, 1872.
Martin J. Klinkenberg killed by lightning on the 6th, while at work in his field near Washington Prairie post office.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in the Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery and that he was born March 3, 1823; however, it shows he died April 29, 1872. Also it shows his middle initial as C.
