Yesterday morning at her home on South Grove street Mrs. Elsa M. Decker died after an illness covering several months of organic disease of the stomach. Mrs. Decker was the third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Andrus and was born in Illinois Dec. 20, 1849, coming to Decorah with her parents when three months old. Here she has since resided. Mrs. Decker was twice married, her first husband being Edward Mansfield. She was a member of the Baptist church and whenever her health permitted she was a regular attendant upon the services. The surviving members of her family residing here are Mrs. Adam Wepler and Edw. Andrus, sister and brother. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Methodist church at two o’clock, Rev. Hunt officiating.
