ELIJAH BRIGGS.
Elijah Briggs, one of the pioneer settlers of the northern part of the county, died at his home near Burr Oak yesterday, aged 68 years. We are without the information necessary to an extended obituary.

Elijah Brings was born in Whitby, East Canada, Aug. 17, 1835. He came to Burr Oak In 1855, and consequently was one of its pioneers. Was married to Lucy Ervin March 23d, 1857, since which time they have always lived in Burr Oak and vicinity, thirty-four years being spent on their farm. Five children were born to them, and the family circle remained complete until two years ago last May when the son Charles E., died at the home. Of the four remaining. James I. lives at Salt Lake City, The others were permitted to be with their father and minister to his wants. There are thirteen grand-children and one great grandchild. Mr. Briggs has had a long sickness of several months and everything that money or care could do has been done, but death came to his relief on Nov. 4th, 1903, at the age of 68 years. A good husband, father and neighbor has gone and he will be sadly missed in the circle in which he moved. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their great bereavement.
