MOORE.
Dr. Henry W. Moore died .Saturday evening, May 2, at 7:30 o'clock, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Moore, near Decorah, after, an illness of a year or more from consumption. He was born in 1871 on the farm where he died, and was a young man whose education and professional attainments promised a brilliant future. After receiving a common school education he entered and graduated from Luther College. This was supplemented with a course in medicine at Northwestern University at Evanston, Ill., from which he graduated in 1894. He practiced medicine at Chicago, Lansing and Aurora, S. D., but finally returned to Chicago and took a post graduate course in diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat, after which he located In Decorah and made this class of practice his specialty until illness compelled him to relinquish labors. His skill commanded for him a splendid practice almost from the first and only disease cut short a career that everyone anticipated would be an exceptional one in work well done. While at Aurora, he was married to Miss Anna Walker, who, with two children, join his parents and other members of his family in mourning. The funeral was hold yesterday afternoon from the 1st Lutheran church Rev. I. B. Torrison officiating. The remains were interred in the Phelps cemetery and were followed to their last resting place by a largo concourse of mourning and sympathising friends.
