The sad news of the death of David Duff was received a few days ago. Although his home was not in our vicinity he had many friends and relatives here and several years ago visited quite frequently in Canoe and Burr Oak. He was born near Frankville, and lived there until he was a young man. Then he went to the Black Hills and lived there several yours. Not liking it there he went to Hay Springs, Neb., and resided there until his death. We have not the particulars, but he had not been well for some time, though his death was quite unexpected. He was an honorable, kind, truth-loving man — one who had many friends. He leaves a wife and two children, father, two brothers and two sisters.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows that he is buried in Hay Springs Cemetery and also in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, both in Hay Springs, NB. It also shows he was born August 11, 1864 and died April 17, 1903.
