Died at Prairie du Chien.
The following item is clipped from a Prairie du Chien paper and concerns a Decorah young man who died there Jan. 25th:
Frank Pluto Rathbun was born at Decorah, Iowa, Feb. 4, 1874. Loosing his mother at the age of thirteen months he was taken by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Plato and remained with them until he was sixteen, since which time he has made his home in St. Paul and Decorah. He learned the turner's trade at which he worked until a few months ago, health failing him he came here last August.
The young man passed away at the home of his father, N. P. Rathbun, in the Garvey flats, Sunday morning, of consumption, age 28 years, 11 months and 21 days. He leaves a father and two sisters, besides other relatives and friends to mourn his departure. His mother and a brother proceeded him to the grave.
The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon and services conducted by Rev. E. G. Visher in the First M. E. church: Interment took place in the Lowertown cemetery
Mr. Rathbun was a nephew of Miss Delia Plato and Mrs. J. E. Barker.
