Geo. Morrison, who was reported sick last week, died this afternoon of acute Bright's disease, and our town is really grief stricken. Mr. Morrison was held in regard as a citizen, and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the widow who is thus bereft, to the aged father who is in such a feeble state of health, and the mother who is far from strong, to the other members of the family whose ranks have been invaded so suddenly by the dread monster. Mr. Morrison has seemingly been a strong, healthy man, and a few days ago none would have selected him for death's victim. Of the ten brothers and sisters, he is the first link in the chain to be broken.

Transcriber’s Note: Burr Oak Cemetery shows he died February 29, 1904.
