Rose Hilleman, the daughter of Wm. Hilleman, died Saturday the 27th of pneumonia. The circumstances attending the death of this young lady are very sad indeed. She was to have been married in a few days. All arrangements had been made; the future home of the bride that was to be was prepared, but the disease fastened itself upon her, and medical skill failed to release her from its grasp. In one short week she passed beyond the loving care of those who would fain have kept her here, and Rose “was not, for God took her”. Funeral services conducted at the home by Rev. Dorcas, on Tuesday afternoon, interment at Burr
Oak.

Transcriber’s Note: Burr Oak Cemetery records show she was born in 1885. Also, her gravestone shows her name as Rosa.

The printer made us say that Rose Hilleman was 68 years old when she died; it should have been 18 years.
