The remains of Hiram J Gripman were brought to Decorah Tuesday morning for burial. Mr. Gripman was a former resident of Decorah, having lived here for twenty years. The past twenty years he has made his home at Sioux Falls, where he died on the 1st inst. from heart failure. He was born in Sturgis, Mich., Sept. 26, 1844. The remains were accompanied here by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Wm. Gripman. The funeral was held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, being in charge of the G.A.R. and interment was made in Phelp's Cemetery.
