Mr. Brockman died at his home Thursday night after a long illness of about three years. Mr. Brockman was born in Germany February, 1840, having reached the age of only sixty-five years. Coming to this country at an early age without any support he was compelled to master his way through by hard labor. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and ten children. Those who witnessed the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Felthof and Mrs. Tuttle of Mason City and Mr. Koch of New Hampton.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Joseph. He was born February 26, 1840 and died February 16, 1905. He is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
