Death in Canoe Township.
George Stortz died at his home in Canoe township early Sunday morning and was buried from the Catholic church in Decorah Tuesday morning, the funeral being held at 10:30 o’clock. His death followed a short illness and was due to blood poison complicated by pneumonia. Mr. Stortz was well known in the vicinity of Decorah. He was a man of powerful physique, and that he should be taken so suddenly seems strange to his friends He was forty-eight years old and unmarried.
