REQUE.
Friends of Prof and Mrs. L. S. Reque are mourning with them in the bereavement that came to them Sunday last. Their daughter Louise passed away on that day after an illness from typhoid fever lasting two months. Twice during that time it was thought the crisis had passed and she was on the road to recovery, but each time relapses followed. Louise graduated last year from Decorah high school and was one of the brightest members of her class. In the home she was a daughter for whom her parents might justly be proud, and her death will leave a vacancy in the family circle that cannot be filled. The funeral {information missing} o’clock, Rev. I. B. Torrison conducting. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. V. Koren and there were brief addressed by President C. K. Preus, Prof. Olaf Brandt, uncle of the deceased, and Rev. Torrison speaking in English. Rev. S. S. Reque of Spring Grove officiated at the grave. The wealth of flowers that covered the casket spoke more feeling than words the love that was entertained for Louise and the sympathy felt for the family.Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave shows she is buried in Lutheran Decorah Cemetery. She was born October 22, 1887.
