Will Horan, aged about 20 years, the eldest son of Dan Horan, of Plymouth Rock, was fatally kicked by a horse last Sunday, dying Tuesday, He was at work on a farm near Madison, S. D., where he went about two months ago. The remains arrived in Cresco Wednesday evening, and the funeral will take place today at the Plymouth Rock church.

OBITUARY.
William Francis Horan was born near Plymouth Rock, Iowa, October 2, 1884, died May 16, 1905. He was the first child of Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Horan.
His death occurred by a kick from a broncho.{sic}
He was getting ready to go to one of {his} friends that evening and had forgotten to unharness this one horse. He went to the barn to unharness it, and it kicked him just below the ribs. He was kicked Sunday night at 5 o’clock and died at 3 o’clock Tuesday morning. He was a patient and hopeful sufferer, but at the end he told them to tell his folks he died happy.
Being nearly 21 years of age he had by consent of his parents left home to work for others. He was working for Mr. Frank Tobin on a farm near Madison, South Dakota. He was a respectable young man in every way, and active in his ways. He was a christian boy; he was confirmed in
St. Agnes church, Plymouth Rock., and signed the temperance pledge when he was 16 years of age. He has been strictly temperate ever since.
His funeral occurred on May 18th, at the Catholic church near Plymouth Rock, Iowa, In which faith he bravely lived and died. A large procession of teams accompanied his remains to his last resting place.
To mourn his early departure he leaves a near and dear mother, father, three brothers, 6 sisters and a host of friends.
Attending the funeral from abroad was his cousin, James Horan, his aunt, Mrs. William Tobin, and Mr. Frank Tobin, for whom he was working. Com.
