Services for Hazel "Sal" Howland, 71, of 2606 Forest Road, Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Runge Chapel. Burial will be in Decorah, Iowa, Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport, of which she was a member; American Cancer Society; or American Heart Association.

Mrs. Howland died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Hazel Woldum married Dr. Bernard Howland in 1940 in Decorah. He died in 1978.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Pamela) Carstens, Davenport; three grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Lester Woldum, Longboat Key, Fla.
