James Daley died at his home in Fremont, Tuesday morning, March 22nd, after an illness of about six months.

James Daly died March 22, 1904, at his home in Fremont township, this county, aged about 40 years, after an illness of somewhere six months from kidney trouble. He leaves a wife and three small children to mourn his death, also his mother, two sisters and three brothers, namely: John, of Fremont township, Dr. Thomas Daly, of Chicago, Attorney William Daly, of Seattle, Wash, Mrs. John Barrett, of Fremont township, his mother and Mary Daly, of Cresco, also numerous friends and other relatives to mourn his untimely death. He lived and died on his father’s old home, where he was born. He was a man who lead a good, moral, Christian life, and we now hope he will reap the reward.— Decorah Journal.

The funeral of J. Daly who died at his home in the north part of the township Tuesday morning was held at the Catholic church near his home Thursday. The crowd at the funeral in spite of the driving rain spoke of the high esteem in which Mr. Daly was held by all who knew him. The family have the sympathy of all the Kendallville people.
