Mr. M. J. Flemming and daughter, Miss Annie, of Omaha, Mr. Edward Howard, of St. Paul, and Mrs. John Howard and son Eugene, of Cresco, were all here last week in attendance at the funeral of Miss Genevieve Curtin. They returned to their respective homes yesterday.— Decorah Journal.

OBITUARIES.
Genevieve Curtin.
Last Thursday evening Miss Genevieve Curtin passed into a longed for and peaceful rest. She had been a patient sufferer for nearly two years, and death was a release that was welcomed by her with pleasure, despite the pain of parting from a loving mother and brother. She was the daughter of Michael Curtin, deceased, and his wife, Mrs. Ellen Curtin. Tenderly nurtured and well educated, she had grown into all that a loving daughter and sister could be in the home. Frail in health, the flood of May, 1902, came to her with a shock from which she never recovered. The family home was in the track of the flood, and some of the incidents of the night had n terror in them that marked the beginning of the end which came on the 17th. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Sunday morning with a large attendance of personal friends of the departed one as well as friends of the family There was a profusion of flowers, and while there is the deepest sympathy with the afflicted relatives there is a wealth of consolation in perfect faith that she has gone home and entered into an abiding rest where there is never andymore pain or suffering or sorrow. She was in her twenty-third year.
