Transcribed by Joy MoorePOSTVILLE - Lucille Anderson, 83, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001.
Funeral Services were held Friday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville with Rev. Gary Catterson officiating. Special music was provided by Christine Enyart, soloist and Beverly Bacon, organist.
Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery, Castalia with grandchildren, Grant Snitker, Jr., Brian Snitker, Gloria Boyd, Frank Wickham, Jr., Chad Wickham and Tammy Wickham as casket bearers.
Schutte Funeral and Cremation Service, Postville was in charge of arrangements.
Evelyn Lucille (Jones) Wickham Anderson was born Sept. 5, 1918, the daughter of Edward Jones and Wava Margaret (Cain) Jones in Franklin Township, east of Postville. She married Rodney Earl Anderson on Aug. 31, 1964 in Burton Township, Genesee County, Michigan. She owned the Anderson Rest Home, Decorah for 20 years. She lived in Castalia most of her adult life until moving to Postville in 2000. She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two children, Frank (Phyllis) Wickham, New Hampton and Sharon (Grant) Snitker, Waukon; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Rodney, on March 30, 2001.
