MRS. LYDIA MOODY.
Daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Bateman died at the home of her mother Cresco, Aug. 25, 1896, aged 34 years 5 mouth and 28 days. She was born in Winneshiek county. The deceased leaves two children, a son and a daughter aged 8 and 12 years to mourn her death, beside numerous friends and relatives. Her children find a home with their grandmother in this place. Rev. Taylor officiated at the funeral and the body was laid to rest in the cemetary at Kendallville.

Transcriber’s Note: The gravestone shows she was born in 1858 which does not agree with the age mentioned above.
