Viola Cenek, 91, of Cresco, IA passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, IA. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. the United Methodist Church in Cresco, IA. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA.

Viola was born on August 17, 1917 in Bluffton, IA, to Elmer and Annette Greenslade. She married Clarence Cenek on July 17, 1945 and moved to Cresco, IA.

She is survived by a son, Gary (Sue) of Cresco, IA, six grandchildren, Scott (Carrie) Smith, Troy Smith, Pat Wilson, Melissa (Eric) Vobr, Angela Cenek, and Jason Cenek, four great-grandchildren, Jaylee Vobr, Joey Vobr, Halle Smith, and Ethan Smith, three brothers, Elmer, Donald, and Robert, all of Clinton, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Richard and Paul, and one sister Mary Duneman, two daughters, Linda Wilson and Donna Smith and a son-in-law John Wilson.
