Warren Harvey, 96, of Cresco, IA passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, IA. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orleans Lutheran Church in rural Ridgeway, IA. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Warren was born on May 28, 1912 in Winneshiek County, IA to Harry & Myrtle (Greenslade) Harvey. He grew up on his parents farm in the Bluffton area. He married Inez Nolte on June 20, 1933 at her parents home in Burr Oak, IA. To this union seven children were born. Warren & Inez farmed in the Ridgeway area until they retired in 1973. Warren enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and playing cards with relatives and friends.

He is survived by his wife Inex, six children, Norman (Fae), Elaine (Ron) Ryan, Duane (Donna), Linda (Eugene) Huhe, Marlin (Cheryl), and David (Linda), 14 grandchildren, five step-grandsons, many loving great & great-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Jenny Harvey, and a brother-in-law Keith (Jackie) Nolte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Ronald, two grandsons, Rodney & Ricky, a granddaughter, Roxanne, a great grandson, Anthony, three brothers, and five sisters.
