Bernard T. Giesing Rites Held Monday At Ossian De Sales

OSSIAN (Special) – Funeral services for Bernard T. Giesing, 70, who died Friday, Sept. 17, following a several months illness, were held Monday at 9:30 a. m. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. M. T. Thiltgen and Rev. E. J. Frost officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Giesing was born on a farm near Festina September 9, 1885, a son of Theodore and Elizabeth Giesing. He received his education in St. Mary’s parochial school at Festina and was married to Miss Frances Wagner of Ossian in January, 1944.

His survivors were his wife, two brothers Joe T. Giesing of Festina and Leo Giesing of Calmar, Miss Cecelia Giesing of Wausau, Wis., Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Wolfe of Ossian, and Mrs. William (Pauline) Kipp of Cresco.

His mother died April 16, 1955.

The pallbearers were Greg Bodensteiner, Hugo and Herbert {remainder of obituary is missing)
