Decorah- Ludwig Selmer Olson, 66, died Friday at Freeport, Ia., where he had lived for several years. He was born March 24, 1870, and had lived at Ossian most of his life. Funeral services, at the Stavanger Lutheran church, near Ossian, were conducted Monday by the Rev. V. A. Fiskerbeck.

He is survived by his brother Adolph Olson, St. Paul, Minn.

Note: Several of the obituaries in this edition of this newspaper show dates that do not seem to add up. In this obituary the given age at death, date of birth and date of the newspaper do not appear to add up. A plaque in the First Lutheran cemetery has Selmer’s birth date as 1878.
