Decorah- William H. Gilson, 71, died Sunday at his home at Decorah. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Gilson was born June 29, 1877, at Shreve, Ohio, the son of William H. and Margaret Gilson. He married Hattie Bender in 1905 and they made their home at Joliet, Ill., and Sauk Center, Minn., before moving to Decorah.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Maurice of Hawaii, Lyman of Dixon, Mo., and Clifford of Shreve, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Ellingson of Collins, and two brothers, Lambert of Shreve, Ohio, and Quimby of Wooster, Ohio.
