Decorah- Services were Sunday at the Steine funeral home here for George Wheatman, 74, who died Thursday at the home of his niece, Alice Lambert. Burial was in Phelps cemetery.

Wheatman was born Oct. 1, 1874, in Calmar township, the son of Henry and Maria Wheatman. He moved to Decorah 30 years ago.

Surviving are three brothers, Richard, Almond and John, all of Decorah.
