Decorah- Final rites for Charlie L. Dawley, 83, were conducted Tuesday from the Steine funeral home at Decorah to the Advent Christian church at Burr Oak with burial in the Burr Oak cemetery. Dawley died Saturday at the home of his son, Clifford, at Bluffton.
He was born Jan. 1, 1866, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chandler Dawley. On Oct. 23, 1895, he married Cordelia Crane. With the exception of three years, he spent his life in Winneshiek county, where he was engaged in farming.
Surviving children are Thomas, Jessie and Roscoe Dawley, all of Decorah; Mrs. Cecil Good, of Ridgeway; Clifford, of Bluffton, Harry of New Sharon, Mrs. Kenneth Morgan of Blooming Prairie, Minn., John of Searsboro, and Mrs. Victor Masters of Canton, Minn.
