Mrs. Elizabeth H. Hooper 1822-1881

Died:

At her home in Frankville, Iowa on Friday evening, December 23, 1881, of ulceration of the stomach, after an illness of fifteen weeks, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Hooper, age 59 years and 16 days. Deceased was born July 5th, 1822 at Husham, Surry County, England. At the age of 18, was confirmed and joined the Church of England. Married in 1842 and in the year 1854, emigrated from London to Iowa. Settling at West Union, Fayette county. Removing to Frankville, Winneshiek county, in the year of 1860.

She leaves her husband, three sons and three daughters to mourn her loss. She died trusting in a Savior with hope of a glorious resurrection. Funeral services sere held at her late home on Sunday morning, December 25, and her remains interred in the Postville Cemetery.
