Calmar- Funeral services for Miss Synneva Kolaas, 79, former Calmar resident, were held here Thursday at the Lutheran Church with the Rev. H. A. Preus, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Norval Stromsodt, Tom Erland, Robert Bjonerud, John Borlaug, Ed Fristad, and L. D. Wangsness.

Miss Kolaas died Monday at her home in Adams. She had been confined to her home since she fell and suffered a broken hip about a year ago.

She was born June 24, 1861, in Norway, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kolaas. She came to America with her parents when she was a year old, the family settling on a farm north of here. She taught in the rural schools near here for several years and in 1920 she moved to Adams with a sister, Anna.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Sjobakken and Anna, both of Adams; and two brothers, Martin of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Ben of Colton, S.D.
