Edward “Ed” Polansky, age 86, of Spillville, IA, died on Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville With Father Robert Gross presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Balik Funeral Home in Spillville, IA with a rosary at 4:00 and a scripture service at 7:00 there will also be visitation after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Tuesday

Ed is survived by his wife: Lorraine Polansky, Spillville, IA. Three children: Diane (Melvin) Ward, Independence, IA; David (Irina) Polansky, Belleville, IL; Carol (John) Kout, Jr., Lawler, IA. Grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew and Heather Ward, David Polansky, Jr., Katrina Polansky and Alicia Imbouthathong. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Catherine (Ron) Hageman, Calmar, IA; Mike Poshusta, Ridgeway, IA, Tom (Kay) Flaherty, Lourdes, IA, and Bob (Janet) Flaherty, Lourdes, IA.
